when i was on holidays, i used to travel around with an underground metro. i took this chance to draw minute-sketches of its passengers as an exercise since i haven’t drawn for a long time. i also made sketches in cafés and in the streets. step by step, i will post some of them here.

Post-editing bouldering

i tried to edit this picture again. i didn’t like how his face looked like, it seems i was just too tired to elaborate it in detail the last time. now i added some little details in the whole picture and changed the background, so that he emerges more. but the colours are still a shame, i guess i have to buy a new screen because they don’t match what i intended them to look like…

again a b&w drawing. There are many options to draw thin precise black lines, but i prefer edding profipens with pigment ink. and it’s no problem to color it afterwards in photoshop.

I was just playing around when doodling this, but the idea was, that she doesn’t like to say goodbye. Actually, who really does..?

Aborigine

for once, a black & white illustration. this was after watching a film about australia. the expressive faces of aborigines are telling us so many stories.

Journey

i love those little green VW buses. first, i just tried to sketch one, don’t ask me how they exactly look like in real and in detail. and the girl is experiencing a great time travelling around and visiting wonderful places.
